Revved Up for T-Mobile and the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix: Redefining sports entertainment.

In a groundbreaking achievement that recently earned the prestigious 2025 Lumiere Award for Best Interactive Experience, MeetMo and its partners have redefined how fans experience Formula 1 racing. Through an innovative combination of extended reality (XR), artificial intelligence, and 5G technology, the team delivered an immersive experience at the Las Vegas Grand Prix that sets new standards for sports entertainment.

The challenge: Putting fans in the driver's seat.

Formula 1 racing has always been about speed, precision, and cutting-edge technology. The challenge was to translate these elements into an interactive viewer experience that would put fans right in the driver's seat while managing massive amounts of high-resolution data in real-time.

The solution: A brilliant technical partnership.

MeetMo collaborated with industry leaders to create a seamless end-to-end solution:

  • Radiant Images provided advanced 360-degree camera systems capable of capturing 12K footage
  • T-Mobile's 5G Advanced Network Solutions enabled real-time data transmission
  • NantStudios handled complex virtual production and real-time VFX
  • MeetMo's AI-enabled collaboration platform orchestrated the entire workflow

A game-changing finish.

The implementation achieved remarkable efficiency gains that transformed the production landscape:

Dramatic resource optimization.

The project achieved a striking 70% reduction in crew, equipment, and infrastructure requirements. By enabling remote teams to control and monitor cameras and devices live on the track, the production maintained exceptional quality while significantly reducing on-site personnel.

Speedy production timeline.

Perhaps most impressively, the team completed visual effects work equivalent to a feature-length film in mere hours rather than the traditional weeks or months – representing an 80% reduction in production timeline. This breakthrough was made possible by processing over 1.5TB of data through MeetMo's advanced collaboration platform and T-Mobile's 5G network.

Enhanced viewer experience.

The production delivered unprecedented immersion through:

  • Real-time augmented reality overlays showing telemetry data
  • Interactive dashboard and steering wheel control displays
  • Multi-format content delivery in resolutions up to 8K
  • Seamless distribution across broadcast, social media, and gaming platforms

Technology in motion.

The technical implementation showcased several innovations:

  • Live 360-degree footage captured at stunning 12K resolution
  • Real-time camera control and footage review capabilities
  • Instant post-processing and effects integration
  • Seamless merging of virtual and real-world elements using Unreal Engine

"MeetMo is driving the future of content production forward; pushing the frontiers of broadcasting with 5G to enable new experiences & previously impossible viewpoints," says John Saw, EVP and CTO of T-Mobile. This sentiment was echoed by the Advanced Imaging Society, which recognized the project's transformative impact on interactive sports entertainment.

Looking Ahead.

This achievement at the Las Vegas Grand Prix represents more than just a technical milestone – it's a glimpse into the future of sports entertainment. By dramatically reducing production time and resources while delivering an unprecedented viewer experience, MeetMo and its partners have created a new template for immersive sports broadcasting.

The success of this project demonstrates how combining cutting-edge technologies with creative vision can transform not just how we watch sports, but how we experience them. As these technologies continue to evolve, we can expect even more innovative applications that bring fans closer to the action than ever before.
